Special Needs Program

Equipped to meet the needs of students, Museum on the Go delivers engaging and entertaining workshops in the students’ own classroom.

Using sensory learning techniques, the Museum on the Go team offers students with special needs a number of hands-on science-based workshops.

In this program, students:

  • use their sense of touch to make their own scientific concoctions
  • use their sense of sight to learn about the effects of a thermal imaging camera
  • use their imagination to create flying machines, then test their creations in the Museum’s wind tunnel
  • use their senses of sight and sound to see the night sky and hear tales about constellations in the Museum’s inflatable planetarium

Based on the student’s educational strengths, abilities, and needs, Museum on the Go workshops allow flexibility in the method of delivery and duration of each workshop.

Fees: Please inquire
All programs are offered within 100 kilometres of Museum only; for locations 50 to 100 kilometres from the Museum, a $ 75 surcharge applies.
