Inauguration of a new exhibition in the TechnoZone at the Canada Science and Technology Museum

OTTAWA, April 2, 2014 – Members of the media are invited to attend the inauguration of the latest TechnoZone exhibition, “Data: New ways of seeing the World”, which features some of the latest-most cutting-edge data visualization research and tools, at the Canada Science and Technology Museum (CSTM).

This TechnoZone exhibition is presented in partnership with the National Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC).

The TechnoZone exhibition “Data: New ways of seeing the World” showcases the digital displays and interactive technologies developed by Dr. Sheelagh Carpendale from the University of Calgary and Dr. Lyn Bartram from Simon Fraser University in Surrey, BC. These technologies encourage the exploration of some of the ways in which data visualization techniques help transform information into knowledge.
